The idea.
The ellipse is born from the concept of fluidity. It introduces a natural and harmonious gesture into the space, far away from stiffness and edges. The oval shape guide the gaze along a soft surface, creating at the same time an essential and sculptural.object.
The material.
Like every item from our company, ELIS can be manufactured with any desired type of marble.
For the models in the pictures “Albachiara” and “Portoro” marble were used
Albachiara speaks of trasparency, of a delicate and uniform luminosity, that enhances the softness of the form.
“Portoro di Porto Venere”, with its absolute black background, punctuated by golden veins, opens the scene to a more decisive soul, a guiding spirit.
The result is a design object that is undoubtedly material, but in which the perfection of the ellipse and the nobility of the marble coexist in a sort of timeless balance.
Trunk and base are carved from the same block of marble, highlighting the purity of the material and the craftsmanship.
Compact, elegant, essential yet rich: this is ELIS.
The sound.
The technological vibrations of music resonate from the elliptical shape. The curved surface receives and accompanies the sound, which spreads in space with natural continuity, like a wave finding its trajectory in the material.
